Why did you create www.indiecover.com?
As we are fans of music and indie music in particular, we wanted to create a website that offers nice covers for an ever nicer price :-) So everybody should get the opportunity to create professional designed covers for their work without having to pay a professional price - as the budget of indie musicians often is modest.
What do I get at www.indiecover.com?
With Indiecover.com you can design your own covers for CDs for printing, the web or other purposes. You can choose from different lay-outs. After a short registration, you can put the ones you like in your basket. From there you are able to start the design page where you can enter text, choose colors and fonts, even add frames, shapes, own photos etc. When you are finally happy with your designed cover you can purchase it. After purchasing, a full version without copyright mark will be added to your library. The library stores all your purchased covers until you delete them. You can download your covers anytime you like.
How does www.indiecover.com work?
1st: You can browse through all the covers we offer you. You can search for genre, subject, price, artist or title. Each cover is described in technical details, such as resolution and the print size arising thereof. Also will you find the highlights of each cover. This gives you a simple overview what possibilities you will have when you design your own cover. For everything is costumizeable.
2nd. To do so you must register with a valid e-mail an a password. After you confirm your datas you are able to use a basket. Now you can add all the covers you like to your basket. Once in your basket you can start designing. If you want to upload your own photos you want to use for your cover you should do this now.
3rd. Click a cover in your basket. You now reach the design page. At first blush this looks a bit confusing. But it is not really. First you see a preview of your cover. Below it you can enter a name for your cover. Then there are a couple of lines you can edit to finally design your own ideas. Each descirption is clickable and tells you what you can do here. 4th. You are happy with your work. At the buttom you can choose to purchase your cover. After confirmation you pay the cover and a full resolution of the cover without box and copyright mark is added to your library. How payment works you find in the "purchase" section of the faq.
5th. Now you see a thumbnail in your library section at the top of the page. Here all your purchased covers are stored. You can download them anytime how often you like until you delete them yourself.
6th. After downloading your designed cover you can happily walk to a printing service to print your CDs or you scale it down for use in the internet. You may do whatever you like with your cover. (For exceptions please read the terms of use!)
How do I purchase a cover?
There are some covers and espacially the "cover of the day" that are free of charge! Simply put them in your basket, design them and then purchase them. No money will be requested from you.
If you like other covers that offer you more possibilities you will have to add refunds. This is like your wallet at indiecover.com. You choose any amount starting with 5 in your currency. We afford you a higher bonus the more you are willing to add to your refunds. After confirmation you are send to an e-payment company (e.g. paypal) where you proceed your payment. After finishing the refunds should be added immediately. Now you can purchase any cover from your refunds.
I deleted the frame (or something else) and now I can't add a new one.
The covers differ in price and in quality and in the possibilities of designing. The cover you were working on normally does not support a frame - but obviously the lay-out offered you a frame. Now, you have deleted the frame offered by the lay-out. Adding a new one is not possible because the cover itself does not support a frame. If you really need the frame, you have to browse through the covers and put it in your basket again - and don not deleted the frame this time ;-)
Who can use indiecover.com?
Everybody, of course! If you are a musician you can put your own ideas into reality. If you are a designer or a music label you can easily create costum covers. If you are a music fan you can design nice covers for your very personal compilation CDs.
Whoever you are. Have fun designing your cover with a lot of features, like implementing your own photos, changing textes, fonts, colors, add shapes, frames etc. etc. etc. Download your great cover and use it!
